TWLC School Counseling

Bridgette Sears, Alternative Education Coordinator

Grateful Day NCH Students and Families
It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I have the opportunity to introduce myself to some and welcome others back to another school year with the phenomenal staff at Trojan Way Learning Center.  My name is Bridget Sears and I am the Alternative Education Coordinator/Counselor at Trojan Way.  I have been working in the field of education for over 25 years and have experience working with students identified with a disability under 504 Rehabilitation Act, IEP (Individualized Education Plan), and in counseling.  I have also worked in traditional educational settings, alternative education settings, and at Scarlet Oaks Career Campus.

As the Alternative Education Coordinator/Counselor, my goal and intention is to assist and support students in ensuring that they have what they need to meet graduation requirements, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Number of credits needed to graduate from NCH
  • Current number of credits earned
  • Classes needed to meet graduation requirements
  • State tests requirements
  • State seal requirements
  • Post secondary options

This year all students in 10th-12th grades will be given a copy of their unofficial transcript and credit check so that they have a clear understanding of where they currently stand.
